Milano-Sanremo is a legendary one-day cycling race that takes place in Italy every March. It is the longest single-day professional cycling race in the world and considered to be one of the five monuments of cycling. It is a race of endurance and strategy, with a course that is mostly flat, but also contains a few challenging climbs.

The race starts in the beautiful city of Milan, located in the Lombardy region of Italy. From here, the route takes the riders south towards the Italian Riviera and the Ligurian coastline. The riders pass through some of Italys most stunning scenery rolling hills, vineyards, olive groves, and quaint villages as they make their way along the race route.

The first part of the course follows the Po River valley, and the riders then turn north towards the Apennine Mountains. Here, the riders must contend with the toughest part of the race, theCapi (climbs). The race features three major climbs the Capo Mele, the Capo Cervo, and the Capo Berta as well as a handful of smaller climbs. These climbs test the riders strength and stamina, and often determine the outcome of the race. After the climbs, the riders descend towards the Mediterranean coast, passing through the towns of Imperia and San Remo.
