Milano-Sanremo is a legendary one-day cycling race that takes place in Italy every March. Here, the riders must contend with the toughest part of the race, theCapi (climbs). The race features three major climbs the Capo Mele, the Capo Cervo, and the Capo Berta as well as a handful of smaller climbs. These climbs test the riders strength and stamina, and often determine the outcome of the race. After the climbs, the riders descend towards the Mediterranean coast, passing through the towns of Imperia and San Remo.

 116th edition and finale of the race is the iconic climb up the Via Roma in San Remo, which is usually lined with cheering fans. After the climb, the riders sprint to the finish line in the city center. The first edition of Milan-Sanremo was held in 1907 and was won by Luigi Ganna. Over the years, some of the greatest cyclists of all time have won the race, including Fausto Coppi, Eddy Merckx, and Mario Cipollini.
